Thai White Glutinous Rice

Thai White Glutinous Rice is commonly known as “sticky Rice”. It has opaque grains and is especially sticky when cooked. It is called glutinous in the sense of being glue-like or sticky. It is widely consumed in Southeast and East Asia and the eastern parts of South Asia. It is in many menus in Thai's cuisine both for a meal and dessert. The popular sticky rice authentic Thai’s dessert is “Mango sticky rice”.

Not only being cooked for a meal or dessert, but white glutinous rice (broken grade) is also used for flour as an ingredient for many foods around the world.
